This is a company that has earned customer trust through passionate commitment to product quality control, protection of purchasing power, and education in conscious consumption.
THE NEED
Perform highly customized analyses.
The Customer Service Office prepares periodic reports on the management of tickets received through various channels (email, phone, web portal, and social media), segmented by request type, user type, and topic.
The data resides in cloud-based CRM Dynamics, which, although equipped with a powerful reporting tool, did not fully meet the management’s needs.
It was therefore necessary to adopt more advanced Business Intelligence tools that would allow for customized analyses and relieve operators from the burden of manually extracting data for processing in other systems.
THE SOLUTION
Power BI, the market-leading Business Intelligence solution.
During the analysis phase, it became clear that the volume of data was significant. The decision was made to export Dynamics 365 data to a SQL Server database on Azure and use Analysis Services during the pre-processing phase to leverage scalable computing power. This made the entire solution cloud-based, simplifying ETL implementation thanks to native connectors between the involved systems. The data structure was revised to better suit the needs.
The most flexible and modern tool for report creation, and therefore proposed to management, is Power BI, using a dynamic connection to Analysis Services. However, the data can also be accessed via Excel in the same way.
